Buying a Green Home

There are several features you can look for when buying your home. Is there a solar water heater, insulation, Energy Star appliances, low-e windows and photovataic solar panels? These features will not only reduce your carbon footprint but will provide savings to your utility bills. These homes have more “value” not only for your purchase but also for resale should you decide to sell your home.

While there is much that could be done to help our environment, I truly believe one of the greatest places to start is in your home. It’s the foundation for you and your family’s green lifestyle. Your habits at home will follow you outside of home.

Make a commitment to our future generations and live green!
